SAS Hidden Camera Spy Pen by LiBa

This is my very first hidden spy pen that I have ever owned. I do not find myself in too many situations where discrete surveillance is necessary, however it is a wonderful thing to have for one of those “just in case scenarios”. The pen is a lightweight, easy to conceal and it is not obvious you are carrying a hidden camera around. The camera was well packaged and came with a USB charging cable and very detailed operating instructions.

The camera itself provides amazing quality imaging at 720p, 1280×720 video resolution. This provides video playback at about 30 frames per second which is a great quality image. The camera comes with an 8GB SD card and is upgradeable to a 32GB card. At 8GB you can record around 60 minutes of HD video. There is also a hidden microphone so you will record sound along with the camera. There is a button located on the top of the “Pen” that will turn recording on and off. Videos are stored separately on the camera drive. Each time the record on/off button is clicked, it will create separate video files instead of 1 large single file. The camera can be strategically placed and set to motion detection. The camera will turn on and begin recording when motion is detected and turn off when it detects no motion. This will save space on your SD card vs. continual recording.

The camera is interfaced through a USB drive and is easy to plug into your computers USB Drive. There is no required software installation. After I insert my camera, my drive window loads up and it automatically launches the access files. There are 3 options to choose from including pictures, videos and time. You can take pictures instead of videos by switching the mode switch button located below the USB port. All picture files are saved here. Videos are stored in the video file. The time file can be updated to the current time to reflect a time stamp on all videos and pictures.

Overall, this camera pen is extremely user friendly. It provides excellent quality pictures, videos and sound recording. The manufacturer claims that the interface is easy to navigate that a kid can do. Well this is true, my 11 year old son was going around recording everyone and watching the videos on his computer. The motion capture ability is amazing and I will finally figure out which child is sneaking into my refrigerator! I would highly recommend this product if you find yourself in need of a concealed recording device.
