I saw the X3 wireless controller and the idea of using a air mouse blew my mind. I currently have a laptop connected to my TV that I use to stream movies and TV shows through. So, I constantly have to get up and click next, or pause etc. This is not a hard task but my TV is at the other end of my living room than my couch. The X3 has provided me with an opportunity to control my laptop without ever moving away from my spot on the couch.
The X3 is extremely easy to use. There are several different function keys, toggle switches, a finger mouse pad and a fully functioning keyboard. The X3 provides a functional range up to 30ft. This is literally a keyboard and mouse combined, and at your fingertips.
Some of the pros and cons I have seen with using the X3:
Pros:
- Very easy to use, whether you are a lefty or a righty.
- The controller is about the same size as an Xbox controller.
- Very lightweight and very sturdy.
- The mouse pad is very sensitive and no detectable touch lag
- The X3 has excellent range – rated up to 30 ft.
- Very convenient for the situation I was using it for (movie streaming through laptop)
- Can be powered by a lithium battery, AAA or plugged in with a USB-Mini cable
Cons:
- Not so great for playing games. Certain games you can, but the finger mouse pad can make it difficult.
- The keyboard is small, so I was hitting buttons at the same time.
Overall, this product has served me very well. I have a 6 month old infant who will sleep on my chest while I sit on the couch. This has provided me an opportunity to control my movies, TV shows, browse the internet or simply mess around on my computer. I rate the X3 at 5/5 stars and would recommend it to others. I did receive this at a discounted rate for my honest and unbiased opinion, but all opinions expressed are my own.
